Richard qualified as a Solicitor in 1995 having studied at Northumbria University. Returning to Teesside, Richardís legal career flourished and he subsequently became a Partner at Freers Solicitors where he worked as a Criminal Advocate and Duty Solicitor. Richard was instructed in many high profile national cases and in 2016, Richard became a Director at Freers Askew Bunting.
Richard's wide ranging legal knowledge means he also specialises in complex commercial and domestic property matters, expertise which added significant weight to the PG Legal team when he joined the firm as a director in 2019 .
Richard's enviable client list has grown over the years to include developers, building and construction companies, Education Foundations, Charities, Wildlife Trusts, Incorporated Sporting Private Members Clubs, Accountants, Estate Agents and Surveyors, Laboratories, Haulage Companies, Restauranteurs, Publicans and Nightclub owners and professional landlords in a wide variety of property and business transactions.
Richard has experience of conducting cases before the Lands Tribunal and Judicial Review proceedings in the Administrative Court and assists private individuals with future planning, complex wills, trusts, powers of attorney and pension schemes.
Richard is a member of the Law Societyís Management, Property and Private Client Sections.
Jonathan qualified as a Solicitor in 1993, having studied at Northumbria University. Returning to Teesside to forge his career, Jonathan rose through the ranks to become a Partner in well-known Teesside firm, Jacksons Law Firm.
Jonathanís career saw him become an accomplished, and widely respected, corporate and commercial lawyer advising businesses on matters from internal structure to dispute resolution. It was Jonathanís desire to actively support the business community across the North East and subsequently he became a member of the North East England Chamber of Commerce (NEECC). It was during his time as Partner at North-East law firm Mincoff Jacksons, Jonathan was appointed chairman of the North-East Chamber of Commerce's Stockton Business Forum, a position he still proudly holds.
Jonathanís experience and knowledge provided further weight to the PG Legal team when Jonathan joined the firm as a director in 2012, becoming Managing Partner in 2019.
Jonathan is an accomplished litigator accustomed to resolving disputes across the full spectrum of commercial litigation including Companies Act claims, professional negligence, sale of goods disputes, breach of directorís duty and post termination restraint claims, disputes with agricultural and equine links and intellectual property disputes.
